Angel's Trumpet / Apricot Moonflower

*Angel's TRumpet = Brugmansia suaveolens
Family: Solanaceae
Origin: Brazil

Large shrubs or small tree with large leaves,
10-30 cm (4-12") long and 4-18 cm (2-7") across
and often covered with fine hairs.
The large trumpet-shaped flowers are
14-50 cm(6-20") long and 10-35 cm (4-14") across
at the opening.
Angel's Trumpet is usually white, 
Apricot Moonflowers are peach color, 
they also come in yellow, pink, orange, green
or red. Most have a strong pleasing fragrance
that is most noticeable in the evening.
All parts of the plant contain a strong narcotic, 
and the leaves sometimes are smoked by the natives 
as a relief from asthma.
